Recap
Gameweek 5.
Lazy start of the game. Both team were rolling the ball around for the first 20 minutes (or so) until Tom Panenka 2000 decided to cleverly chip the out of position 2003 keeper. Half time ended with 2000 leading by 1 – 0. The 2003 goal keeper retired due to hamstring. GWS brother.
Start of second half, 2000 team were losing focus allowing a few break ins which almost resulted to penalty by a hard tackle by Kimal 2000. Apeq 2003 received a yellow card for the dubious dive.
Another mishap by 2000 defenders, they couldn’t clear the ball allowing Nad 2003, to quickly pass the ball to Ajim 2003. A quick clever lob resulted to a goal. Adi Courtois 2000 (the tallest player on the pitch) couldn’t save it. 2003 supporters was ecstatic by the goal, what could’ve been the only point in the league so far.
Final 10 minutes into the game, 2000 rolled in the attacks again, played long ball near the box. 2000 earned a free kick just outside the penalty box due hand-handled by the sub goalie (which also earned a yellow card).
Pajoe 2000 took a mesmerizing free kick, blocked by the goalie and hit the post. The rebound landed in front of the goal and Skis 2000 made a jump, gave it a good sharp header which bounced in and cleared by 2003 defender. Lines man flags up, signalling a goal. 2-1, a winning goal by 2000 team.
With 5 minutes to go, the 2000 team was tired and losing focus but held their position. 2003 went pounding again, unfortunately, time was up.
Great sportsmanship by both team.
2003 is a complete team, managed to hit the post a couple of time. Bros, keep fighting, the league hasn’t ended yet.
Let’s hope 2000 luck continues for the last 4 games of league.
Man of the match: Tom Panenka 2000.
